How Concurrent connections work

Each Snowpad plan includes a concurrent connection limit — the maximum number of simultaneous SOCKS5 connections your client can make through the gateway at the same time. If you exceed this limit, additional connections receive a SOCKS5 reply 0x02 (connection not allowed by ruleset) and must be retried.

Concurrent connections

The number of requests your scraper can have in flight at the same second. Each open SOCKS5 tunnel counts as one connection. Close the tunnel, free the slot instantly.

Burst connections

Short spikes above your concurrent limit are allowed up to the burst cap. Connections beyond burst are rejected. Set your worker count ≤ burst to avoid rejections.

Tip: stay below the limit

If you see SOCKS5 reply 0x02 errors, reduce your worker/concurrency count. Each worker should use connection pooling and reuse the SOCKS5 tunnel for multiple requests.
