ixBrowser solves a problem I ran into early with distributed teams: how do you keep proxy settings in sync when people work from different cities?
ixBrowser's cloud sync means I configure a profile once, and it is available on any device my team uses. The proxy settings travel with the profile.
Why ixBrowser for Distributed Teams?
If your team is spread across locations, ixBrowser's cloud-first design is a lifesaver:
- Cloud sync: Profiles sync automatically across devices
- Team workspaces: Share profiles with specific team members
- Permission control: Read-only or full access per profile
- Activity tracking: See which team member used which profile and when
No more emailing profile exports or manually reconfiguring proxies on each machine.
Proxy Configuration
Setting up Snowpad in ixBrowser:
- Open ixBrowser and click New Profile
- Enter a profile name and select the operating system
- Navigate to Proxy Settings
- Choose SOCKS5 as the proxy type
- Set host to
gw.snowpad.ioand port to9999 - Enter your Snowpad username and password
- Click Test Proxy to verify the connection
Team Workflow
Here is how we structure our ixBrowser + Snowpad setup:
- Sticky proxies for accounts: Each social media or e-commerce account gets a Snowpad sticky proxy. The IP stays consistent regardless of which team member logs in.
- Rotating proxies for research: Market research profiles use Snowpad rotating IPs for fresh data.
- Profile groups: We group profiles by platform and assign Snowpad proxy pools accordingly.
When a team member in Bangalore opens a profile, ixBrowser pulls the config from the cloud, applies the Snowpad SOCKS5 proxy, and they are browsing with the same IP as the team member in Mumbai.
Why This Combo Works
ixBrowser handles the cloud sync and team coordination. Snowpad provides the mobile IPs. Together, they let a distributed team manage accounts from anywhere without proxy conflicts.
